Reiki is a non-invasive, complementary and alternative healing practice that promotes overall health and well-being. Originating in Japan, Reiki works with the animal or human to facilitate their own healing response. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: rei, meaning "universal"; and ki, meaning "life energy".

It can address many health care concerns.  It can be applied to any part of the body,injury or illness.   It also has a calming effect on the mind and the emotions.

Chakras are energy centers in the body.  There are seven chakras.  In a Reiki session, these energy centers are assessed and addressed to perform their normal functions by connecting to and receiving the universal energy.

Your first contact with me is (by phone or email) to establish the purpose and intent of your visit.  All information is confidential.  My sacred space is complimented with candles, relaxing music and /or aroma therapy.  In a reiki session you lay down on my reiki table which is like a massage table fully clothed (you may take your shoes off).  I move around the table giving you light touch or no touch evaluating your chakra points and help the energy to flow freely in your body by unblocking stagnant energy.  Meditation and visualization may also be incorporated in my sessions.  Sometimes clients fall asleep.  This is normal.  When the session is over, I will give you some water to cleanse the toxins from your body.  We will discuss what we both felt and what are my recommendations for you as far as follow up sessions.  Your next apt (if indicated) will be scheduled before you depart.

Each session is from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
